New Year – Recap and Realign 2023

Another year has come and gone, is it just me or does time seem to be moving faster?!?

Career Accomplishments
I started my first full year at TTEC, it was filled with RFP responses, a couple amazing wins and the start of implementing the projects. Improving CX in federal, one RFP response at a time! Career adjacent- I accepted the position of program chair within ACT-IAC Customer Experience (CX) Community of Interest (COI) towards the end of the year. It’s an incredible organization that brings together government and industry to discuss how to improve CX within the federal government (government and tech love their acronyms!). I have been involved with this organization since the start of this COI, minus a mini-break due to career focus changes. It’s been amazing to see the progress thus far and I am beyond excited to be part of the leadership team taking us into 2023! Here is a blog I co-wrote that brings these two together.

Personal Accomplishments
I tend to find random personal goals to achieve, for those who know me, shocker, right?! As a recap, 2016 I did my first bodybuilding competition, 2017 I did my second, 2018 I found my way into pageantry and was International Ms Virginia, 2019, I had the pleasure of serving as Miss DC for America, 2020 was just weird, and 2021 I did my third bodybuilding competition. 2022 – ballroom dancing!!! I found Siva Dance and met my instructor and dance partner Sini, we immediately hit it off and somehow he’s taught me more moves than how Elaine dances from Seinfeld! We’ve spent the last year focused on rhythm/Latin dance and I competed in two competitions. My first competitions was in June, the Atlantic DanceSport Challenge in Baltimore. We were grand finalist in cha-cha, rumba, swing and mambo, and I won the rising star award! In December, we went to Austin to compete in the American Open DanceSport Championships. We came in 1st in individual dances (Cha-Cha, Rumba, and Swing) and first overall in my division!! Check out my IG Dance Highlights. I had an absolute blast on the dance floor. Ballroom combines everything I love: fitness, glitz, glam, fashion all surrounded by great people! To say I am hooked is an understatement.

Future Goals
End of the year is such a great time to reflect on the last year and plan for the future, realigning goals and the best way to achieve them. I have always had rolling goals and continue to check in to make sure they align with who I am, who I want to be and what I want to achieve. My goals span out 5 years and I create micro-goals to eventually achieve the larger one. I have additional goals for 2023 within my career, education, ballroom dancing and overall fitness. Excited to share each of these as the time comes.

Until then – Happy New Year!
