but I’m back baby!!!
We are eight months into 2022, what a crazy two years it has been! I have been wanting to write was unsure what to say (there are more than a few draft blogs in my folder). I think we were all there. These last two years were crazy, confusing, concerning, and just all around difficult to navigate. When I sat down to write this particular blog, I promised myself it would be more uplifting. So… here are the highlights of my changes over the last year (queue the montage music)!!
Miss DC for America 2019
Handed over my Miss DC title, June of 2020. It wasn’t how I expected to hand it over but given all that was going on, it was the best way to handle it… via ZOOM! I had such an incredible year as Miss DC for America. I learned so much about myself, about charities, met amazing people I have the honor of calling my friends. I have a “Farewell from Miss DC for America 2019” blog post in my draft file… maybe I’ll post it one of these days.
New Company and Title
I started a new job at TTEC, Vice President of Digital Sales, Federal March 2021. I am thrilled to be back in the customer experience space, focused on the mission of improving cx within the federal government. Future blog about this passion of mine forthcoming!
WBFF Wellness Fitness Competition
After gaining a few lbs from the sedentary lifestyle 2020 brought, I decided to get back on stage, another WBFF competition. This time, though, I would be gracing the stage with more experience. I started working with Alicia Gowans and brought the best version of myself to that stage! November 2021 I flew down to Miami to compete in the WBFF Wellness category. While I did not bring home any hardware, it was great to be back on stage in an amazing custom suit and gown! Full blog on this experience coming soon!
Ballroom Dancing
End of January, 2022, I started searching for a new goal. This time “ballroom dancing” was what I started searching for in google. I found an amazing coach and started ballroom dancing! June 2022, I had my first pro-am competition! To say I am hooked is an understatement! I feel as though this combines everything I have been working towards, fitness competition, pageantry, the glitz, glam, on stage and fitness!
I am so excited for what the rest of 2022 has to bring!
