This quote becomes more and more true as time goes on! For those who know me and/or have been following my blog and journey know that I am one for setting and going after goals. When I was younger, it was all about the goals. With tennis, it was all about winning the games, becoming a better player, getting my form better. In college, I wanted to go into sponsorship sales for NASCAR. I lived and breathed NASCAR. Then it became getting on stage at a bodybuilding competition. Most recently becoming the first Miss DC for America and growing the charity platform I started 2018. With each of these goals, I have met some amazing people along the way. Those who taught me lessons and those who inspired me.
I have talked a bit about the charity platform I started beginning of 2018, Inspiration Across Nations. My goal with this platform is to inspire and help those get more involved with the volunteer community. I have always found myself wanting to give my time to help those in need. I can’t tell you how many hours I have spent researching volunteer opportunities. As someone who has a full time job and travels, it was difficult to not only find the right organization but to schedule the time. The mission of Inspiration Across Nations is to build a positive, inspirational volunteer community around the world.
Throughout 2018 and 2019, I have written blogs about some of the organizations I have met with. The people who give their time and energy to helping those around them has been incredibly inspirational. (You can read those blogs here). As I continued to look at the platform and how to exponentially grow it, I realized I needed to think bigger. Those plans are in the works and will be disclosed once they are set.
Until then, I have decided to re-start the blog series and find Inspirational Squads to interview and write about. If you know of any, please comment or send us an email – email@example.com!
Life is about the memories you make, the people you meet and those who have had an impact on your life. There are so many that have made an impact on mine, some know who they are, others don’t. Who has been an influence in your life? Have you told them?
